Elephant Rock Beach

Today’s blog feature is with Robert + Linsey at the beautiful Elephant Rock Beach in Westport, MA! Robert + Linsey’s Session took us completely by surprise, it was a warm and sunny New England evening that quickly turned for the worse…or not the better? Depends on how you look at it?! Once we arrived to Elephant Rock Beach with clear skies we were swallowed up by the marina fog, making it beyond cold! The weather surely created an intimate setting with nothing but the fog meeting the water, These two really pushed through the elements and we where able to capture some pretty sweet moments. Even if we all where freezing!

New York, New York

It’s always a treat being able to travel and do a shoot that is out of your typical norm if you live in Rhode Island and this one of those shoots. We met up with Stephen + Megan on Barclays St. and immediately hit it off. The first location we took photos at was the Oculous and then we started making our way around the city and near the water to capture images of Stephen + Megan with the skyline view of Jersey City in the distance. New York is an ever evolving city with so many different options to choose from and thats what made this session so great and not to mention THIS COUPLE… I mean come on they killed it!

Throwback to the fall, we loved doing this shoot with Dylan + Ali in Boston, Ma. It’s always a pleasure going up to the city to photograph a couple in there everyday environment, Dylan + Ali’s love for each other was so evident and made taking these photos a walk in the park. From the warm tones of the city side walks to the moodiness of the season pulls everything together. We can’t wait to celebrate these two on their big day!

This shoot was a blast, we met up with Pete + Elizabeth at the Colt State Park in Bristol, RI the where warm breeze filled the air like you knew summer was here. For this blog we went up to New York City for a fun and exciting engagement shoot. The ride up to New York was only what you can expect…. traffic and more traffic but hey thats why you leave 3 hours early. We met up with TJ + Paige at the Brooklyn Bridge State Park and they did not disappoint I admit they may of been a little timid in the beginning but who isn’t, it’s not like you take professional photos every single year but nonetheless TJ + Paige made everything effortless and you could see the love for each other so evidently even a little bit of rain couldn’t deter them from having a great time. We loved doing this photo and video engagement, we met up with David + Tiffany at the 40 Steps in Newport, RI, and explored our way around the rocks on the cliff walk by the water to fully encapsulate the cliff walks. From the breathtaking views on the Cliff Walk in Newport to the moodiness of the cliffs this shoot had it all and not to mention this couple… Let me tell you they absolutely killed this session and we’re up for the adventure and that’s what we love.

We met up with Ross + Nikki on a beautiful afternoon in Jamestown, RI at Fort Adams Trust to do an engagement styled photoshoot in some of the rooms and different spaces they have to offer to shoot in. A couple months ago we ran our first photo giveaway and Matt + Aubri we’re selected as the winners! Matt + Aubri plan to get married next year in their home state of Ohio. It was a blessing to be able to take some updated engagement pictures before their wedding next year. Everything about this session was fun, Matt + Aubri we’re very down to earth and go with the flow which made everything feel seamless. It felt like we were friends by the time we left. It was a bright and clear autumn day at Dowe’s Beach on the coast of New England, as prepping for Anthony and Brynne’s engagement session out of now where rolled in a wall of marine fog causing for a complete and desolate location. Isolating the couple in a way that helps the viewer to be fixated, they popped champagne, said a cheers and had an amazing session. We adored capturing this couple’s love for each other and are looking forward to capturing their wedding day!

We absolutely loved this session with Rob + Kathleen, this engagement session was right outside the doors to our office as we started shooting in front of Long Live Beer Works where Rob + Kathleen had their very first date and some of there most memorable moments. From Long Live Beer Works we made it to the pedestrian bridge and captured the city in all of its fullness showcasing this gorgeous couple in front of the Providence skyline. From the moody vibes to the city vibes this shoot captured who Rob + Kathleen really are!

We loved this engagement shoot we did recently with Morgan + Mackenzie in Westerly, RI. We started off at The Ocean House which offers a classic and elegant background composed with its yellows and whites and then made our way through the town and finished off at Watch Hill Beach. This session offered it all, the bright and colorful tones to the sandy seagull filled beaches it's all we could have asked for and more!

At Move Mountains Co, we’re always challenging ourselves to keep sessions fresh and creative with every couple so that each session is inspiring to us and unique to the couple. For this one the team traveled to San Diego, California to capture their engagement! The landscape and terrain of Dana Point Beach allowed us to get in our element and deliver a breathtaking engagement session. We always love getting to plan a proposal and being there to capture the bride to be’s reaction. For this session we went the day before and scouted the location with Donald to see any potential challenges and see when the light would be best - from there we made a game plan for what the next day would look like.
