    Submitting a Grievance

    If a participant has a concern or grievance regarding any aspect of MMC Academy’s programs, staff, or policies, the following steps should be taken:

    1. Informal Resolution:

      • Participants are encouraged to address the concern directly with the involved staff member or instructor, if appropriate, to seek an informal resolution.

    2. Formal Complaint:

      • If the issue cannot be resolved informally, participants may submit a formal grievance in writing. Formal complaints should include:

        • The participant's name and contact information.

        • A detailed description of the issue, including dates, names, and any supporting documents.

        • Any steps already taken to resolve the issue.

    3. Review Process:

      • Upon receipt of a formal grievance, MMC Academy’s Grievance Committee will:

    4. Appeals:

      • If the participant is unsatisfied with the resolution, they may submit an appeal in writing to the Executive Director of MMC Academy within ten (10) business days of receiving the written response. The decision of the Executive Director will be final.

    Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation

    All grievances will be handled confidentially to the extent possible. MMC Academy strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who submits a grievance in good faith.
