HOW WOULD YOUR DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? +
There is an industry term, photo journalistic/photo journalism that is thrown around quite a bit. This is a broad term which I think gets confused when describing images that seem natural, candid and organic. Even though this style does surface throughout the day and has its place on a wedding day, (i.e. shooting candids of guests, during the ceremony, at cocktail hour) we tend to think that our style is more Editorial.
We approach a wedding day by applying our style and vision to our couples aesthetics and vision. We tend to style and direct this that lend towards clean, simple and minimalistic images that are at the same time, natural and organic.

Photo FAQ'S
PHOTO
SHOULD WE GET A SECOND SHOOTER/DO WE NEED A SECOND SHOOTER? +
In our opinion, YES! Every wedding needs a second shooter and should have one, whether it's photo or video. Here are some reasons for a second… Are the bride and groom getting ready in the same location? Do you have a lot of details? Do you want another perspective of the day? Want more photos of the moments that only happen once (first look, first kiss)?
Having two shooters allows us to be in two places at once! For prep, this allows one shooter to be with the bride and one shooter with the groom. Having a second shooter gives you more time with the lead shooter for portraits, family photos and bridal party photos. While the lead photographer is working with you the second can be covering all the beautiful details of your wedding.
Having another perspective of the day is refreshing. The second is able to sneak in great candids while your attention is on the lead photographer. You get an alternate angle of special moments that only come once a wedding day and that happen very fast, like the first look, kiss and entrance.
Not to mention, in general you just get more photographs!
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE? +
This depends on a few variables, how many shooters you have, how many hours you get and what the timeline of the day allows for. Roughly we like to deliver about 600 for a single photographer package and 800-1000 for a two photographer package.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE? FORMAL + POSED OR NATURAL + ORGANIC? +
A little bit of both. You find lot or organic chemistry by starting with a pose and giving small directions to the couple. There are moments in the day (shooting details, rings, shoes, inviations, the dress) that we are shooting in a fine art style. There are moments in the day that we are shooting a photo journalistic style and just capturing the moment, while there are yet still other times where we are shooting strictly formal photos such as the family portraits.
DO YOU OFFER ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS? +
Yes! Most of our packages includes one, if not you can add one on to any package! Rhode Island is beautiful for locations to shoot but we are also willing to travel to your favorite spot!
WHAT'S THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS? +
Two weeks!
WILL WE OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE PHOTOGRAPHS? +
This ones easy, yes!
WILL OUR IMAGES BE WATERMARKED? +
No!

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAW FOOTAGE AND STATIONARY FILMS? +
Great question! RAW Footage is all of our video clips captured from your wedding day, straight out of the camera! We include RAW Footage in all of our videography packages, and it does include longer clips of your ceremony and speeches! However, our stationary films take things one step further by intercutting multiple camera angles and incorporating color grading, and direct HD audio sources to create one seamless film! See the video below for a visual example.

CAN WE CHOOSE THE MUSIC? +
As artists, we love getting to pick the music for the films that we create! After working with the couple and reviewing the footage, being able to explore different songs and finding what suits the vibe of the wedding best makes for (in our opinion) a much better video! However, many couples really care about this aspect of the process and want to choose their own music or at least be involved in the process, and that's totally okay!
For copyright purposes we only use licensed music. (This is covered in your package costs!) We license our music through two different websites:
Music Bed offers a wide variety of music from cinematic cuts to independent folk artists! This is our favorite site to license from because we feel it has the most original and most inspiring music. At Song Freedom you will find some more traditional and popular tracks such as The Lumineers and Maroon 5.
Here are some examples to songs we like working with: Old Time Vintage Feel - https://www.musicbed.com/songs/i-want-to-love-you-baby/20484
Cinematic Erie Feel (Emotional) - https://www.musicbed.com/songs/then-the-quiet-explosion/25665
Party Feel (Good for dance scenes) - https://www.musicbed.com/songs/nothing-ever-happens/29166
Should we do a Card Exchange? +
A great video always starts with a great narrative! Exchanging a card with your fiancé on the morning of your wedding is an awesome chance to reflect on how far you two have come, as well as getting some great audio content for your highlight film! You can’t really predict what your best man’s speech is going to sound like or what stories your maid of honor might share, so this would be a guaranteed way to create a moment that the editor can use while telling your love story!
If you decide to do a card exchange, we ask that you and your fiancé keep a copy of the card you've written in addition to the card you'll be receiving, this way you can read both on the morning of! It may not sound intuitive, but this gives the editor freedom to use your audio reading from the first person, and this makes all the difference!
CAN WE GET DRONE FOOTAGE? +
Every package includes drone footage. At this point we have shot at most local venues and have plenty of stock drone footage. We will usually still fly the drone on your wedding day (weather, venue restrictions and timing dependent).
