Finding the Perfect Location

There are so many beautiful locations in the Newport/Rhode Island and Massachusetts area that are perfect for engagement photos. We've even posted some of our favorites on our blog! If you have a particular spot in mind, let us know, and we'll check it out too. Here are some of the locations we love to shoot at, click each location for examples:

  • Can We Take Photos at Multiple Locations?

We love to explore different settings and make each engagement session unique! However, we've found that sticking to one location for a one-hour session is better than rushing around to multiple spots. This allows for more comfortable and natural photos, and we'll have plenty of time to capture a variety of settings within the location. If you've booked a two-hour session, we're happy to explore a second location with you!

    What about Outfit Changes?

To make the most of your time with your photographer, we recommend sticking to one outfit for a one-hour session. But if you've booked a two-hour session, this gives you the flexibility to switch things up and try a second outfit!

When's the Best Time to Shoot?

As natural light enthusiasts, we prefer to shoot about an hour before sunset for outdoor sessions. For indoor sessions, we suggest shooting earlier in the day. Weekdays work best for us since our weekends are usually booked with weddings.

  • Welcome to our Engagement Session Resource Page! We believe that engagement sessions are an essential part of the wedding experience, allowing you and your partner to celebrate your love and capture memories that will last a lifetime. Here are some tips to help you make the most out of your engagement session.

    Tip 1

Tip One: Choose a Recommended Location For best results, we highly recommend using our recommended locations for your engagement session. These spots are all around Southern New England and our shooters are familiar with them. Going to a new location can be a bit challenging, and sometimes, it doesn't yield the best results as the shooters are in unfamiliar territory with spotty lighting conditions. Tip 2

Tip Two: Wear Clothing You Feel Confident and Comfortable In Your engagement session is all about capturing your love and your unique personalities. To help you feel confident and comfortable during your session, wear clothing that you love and that makes you feel good about yourself. If you are a bit self-conscious, wear clothing that isn't going to exacerbate your insecurities. Remember, these photos are about you and your partner, so choose clothing that reflects your personal style and makes you feel your best.

    Tip 3

Tip Three: Dress for the Weather The weather can be unpredictable, especially in Southern New England. Make sure to check the forecast before your engagement session and dress accordingly. If you are having a beach session in April, don't wear a flowy thin dress; you will freeze, and the session will be unenjoyable. Instead, wear layers and bring a jacket or sweater just in case. Being comfortable during your session is essential, so make sure you're dressed for the weather.

We hope that these tips will help you prepare for your engagement session and make it a memorable experience. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. We can't wait to capture your love and create memories that will last a lifetime.
