Workflow & Delivery

This outlines each stage of the production process—from internal revisions to final delivery. You’ll have clear guidelines on client expectations and service tiers, so you can smoothly navigate every project and deliver on time, every time.

  • To initiate the export process, click on the export button located at the top left corner. We provide our clients with two options for delivery.

Video & Audio in Apple ProRes 422 format, saved as a .mov file

Computer in H.264 format, saved as a .mp4 file.

All video clips should be expired in 4k, 3840 x 1634 ratio.

These are examples of how the exported files should be labeled:
    Groom + Bride (Highlight)
    Groom + Bride (Anniversary)
    Groom + Bride (XML)
Groom + Bride (Client Revised 1)
    Groom + Bride (Ceremony Film)
    Groom + Bride (Teaser)
Groom + Bride (Maid of Honor Speech)
Groom + Bride (Mother + Daughter Dance)
    Groom + Bride (Documentary Film)

Export the XML for each project that the client will receive. Additionally, zip the project file and move all of these files outside of the client project video folder. This ensures that we can access all projects in the future.

  • Hey,

Thanks so much for reaching out! We are happy to provide you with revisions to your highlight. We offer one round of complimentary revisions which include adding/removing shots, color correcting, edits to audio. After the initial round of revisions changes are billed at our normal editing rate of $150/hr.

Please be aware that the highlights are built around the song length and cannot be extended. If you are looking to have shots added that is done by substituting it for other shots.

If you are looking to change or add a song there will be a $750 fee applied and payment must be made in full before we start the editing process. Please remember that if you are asking for shots to be swapped out of the current highlight that we must take something out to add something in.

Below is a review link that will allow you to click individual frames to leave your specific requests:

Here is your dropbox link to your raw footage if you are interested in reviewing it for specific moments you would like added (please leave clip names/numbers for reference).

Q&A

  • The phrase "I can't" isn’t part of our vocabulary! As video editors, we’re creative problem solvers. If you’re feeling stuck, try going with the flow of the song—music often helps dictate pacing and emotion. If there aren't enough clips, consider adjusting other sections or reusing moments creatively. Look closely at every clip, as you usually only need 2 to 4 seconds of a shot to make an impact. Think outside the box and remember, every challenge is an opportunity to enhance your skills and creativity. You've got this!

  • You are required to deliver at least one video highlight per week. This means downloading footage by Monday, having it ready for revisions by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest, and delivering the final product to clients by Friday. Please keep in mind that experienced editors are able to do 2 week!

Administrative Resources

Details like payments and studio locations are covered, so you’ll always know when and how things are handled. This section eliminates any logistical confusion, freeing you up to focus on your creative work.

  • Frequently Asked Questions: Payments for Contractors

When will I receive payment for my work?

Payments for contractors are made on a Net 30 basis, which means you will receive your payment 30 days from the delivery of the completed project.

    What does "Net 30" mean?

"Net 30" refers to the payment term where your payment is due 30 days after the final delivery of the project. For example, if you deliver the project on September 1st, you can expect to receive payment by October 1st.

How is the delivery date determined?

The delivery date is the day when the project is finalized and submitted to the client. Once the project is officially delivered and accepted, the 30-day payment period begins.

What happens if there is a delay in the project delivery?

If there is a delay in the project delivery, the Net 30 payment term will begin from the new delivery date. Payment will be made 30 days from when the project is successfully delivered and accepted.

How will I know when the project has been delivered?

You will receive a notification once the project is delivered. This notification will include the delivery date, which you can use to calculate when your payment will be made.

Who do I contact if I haven't received payment after 30 days?

If you haven't received your payment after the 30-day period, please contact the payroll team at payroll@movemountains.co. They will assist you in resolving the issue.

    Can I request early payment?

Currently, early payment requests are not accommodated. All payments are processed on the Net 30 schedule as outlined in your contract.

    How are payments processed?

Payments are processed through the payment method you provided during onboarding. Please ensure your payment details are up to date in the portal to avoid delays.

What should I do if I notice an error in my payment?

If you notice any discrepancies in your payment, please reach out to the payroll team immediately with the details of the issue at payroll@movemountains.co. They will investigate and correct any errors as quickly as possible.
