Capturing a Lifetime: Josh + Lizzie’s Journey with Move Mountains Co.

At Move Mountains Co., we cherish the opportunity to capture the milestones of our clients' lives, weaving together their unique stories through our lens. One such memorable journey has been with Josh and Lizzie. From their engagement to their wedding, and through their portrait and maternity sessios, it’s been an honor to document their evolving story.

You may even recognize Josh if you were lucky enough to have him as either your wedding photographer or videographer, as he also shoots for Move Mountains. His dedication to capturing meaningful moments has been a cornerstone of their journey, making every frame a reflection of their love and growth.

Where it all started

Our adventure with Josh and Lizzie began in December 2018, when Josh proposed and set the stage for their beautiful love story.

From Engagement to Wedding

Their wedding was in 2019 at Bittersweet Farm and was a celebration filled with joy and cherished moments. It was a privilege to capture their vows and the start of this new chapter together!

Couples Portrait Session

The journey continued with a breathtaking portrait session in Joshua Tree National Park in 2021. This shoot was a stunning tribute to their love, set against the park's unique and picturesque landscapes.

Welcoming a New Life

Most recently, we had the pleasure of photographing their maternity shoot in October 2023 at the Rhode Island Sand Dunes. This session marked another significant chapter in their lives, capturing the anticipation and excitement as they prepared to welcome a new member to their family.

The Value of Consistency

Choosing the same photographer to capture life’s key moments brings significant benefits. For one, it creates a sense of comfort and familiarity that’s hard to replicate. With Josh and Lizzie, this ease was already in place, resulting in more natural and relaxed photos. They didn’t have to start over with someone new, explaining their preferences or adjusting to a different photography style.

In addition, a consistent photography style ensures a cohesive visual narrative throughout all of life’s milestones. From their engagement and wedding to their newborn session, the photos flow seamlessly together, creating a unified story that beautifully reflects their journey. This continuity holds even greater significance for future generations, offering a timeless keepsake of the family’s history.

Being part of Josh and Lizzie's story during these pivotal moments has been incredibly special. It highlights the true value of having a consistent photographer—someone who not only captures beautiful images but also understands the essence of your journey.

Jacob + Ali

The Second beach Engagement

Middletown, Rhode Island

Jacob and Ali had a stunning engagement session at Second Beach in Middletown, RI. With its soft sand, rolling waves, and breathtaking sunsets, Second Beach was the perfect backdrop for the couple's love story. Jacob and Ali's joy and affection for each other was palpable as they strolled hand-in-hand along the shoreline, taking in the beauty of the surrounding ocean and sky. From sweet embraces to romantic kisses, their engagement session was filled with intimate moments that captured their love in its purest form. The stunning photos taken during this session will serve as a beautiful reminder of this special time in their lives for years to come.

Alfredo + Paige

Providence, RI

Today, we’re switching things up on the blog with a proposal shoot we did a few weeks back. This one felt extra special for us, because they are 2 of our dear friends here at Move Mountains Co. Alfredo + Paige are 2 of the most fun-loving and thoughtful people who you’ll always find with genuine smiles on their faces. They both have a special gift to make people feel cared for and deeply loved. So it was only fitting for Alfredo to propose in one of their favorite cities, Providence, Rhode Island, surrounded by friends who are more like family. Take a look at some of our favorite moments that we captured during this stunning sunset proposal!

Special shoutout to the Providence Police Department for being so helpful and understanding as we worked to pull off this surprise proposal on the Providence Pedestrian Bridge!

Chris + Christina

Brenton Point + Fort Adams

Newport, RI

Chris and Christina held an intimate elopement ceremony this past month to celebrate their love and life together, and our wedding photographers had the chance to document it! This adventurous couple set out against the winter wind and even some rain to get some elegant, dramatic portrait photos at Brenton Point State Park and at Fort Adams. After being together for almost six years, Chris and Christina’s romantic story and excitement to elope came to life in their photographs! It was a misty, magical day, and this bride and groom took it by storm!

These folks were great. They were a pleasure to deal with and were very creative in their approach. They accommodated all of our random photo requests and their own ideas blew us away, and we got our photos back sooner than we expected. I recommend them whole heartedly!

Goose Rocks Beach

Kennebunkport, Maine

This past weekend, our wedding photography team bundled up and made the journey to Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine for our most recent adventure! We braved the brisk winter breeze and caught some romantic golden hour beach photos for this surprise engagement session! This wasn’t your average wedding proposal, but this wasn’t your average couple either! It was such an honor to photograph one of our own team members, Josh, as he proposed to his fiancé, Lizzie! Josh is one of our multifaceted creatives on our wedding team, specializing in wedding photography, wedding videography, graphic design, AND he’s one of our drone pilots! Josh has been with us since the beginning, and we’re so excited for him as he enters into this exciting new season! Congratulations, you two!

Move Mountains Co. is by FAR the best wedding photography/videography services in Rhode Island, if not the entire East coast. The camera crew not only feels like family at the end of the wedding, but works hard to get to know the bride, groom, family and guests. I found myself at the wedding standing and talking to each photographer individually for a good chunk of time - each and every one has a heart of gold...I will never forget these guys and I will forever recommend them to anyone getting married. There is nothing better than not worrying about your big day and getting the calming attention of your photographers. Not to mention the enthusiasm when amazing photos are taken - these guys really do love what they do and they make the biggest effort to help you love your wedding day!
